About Me

I am Aswin Ravikumar Rangasamy Veerasamy (in case you are curious, my name comes with built-in ancestry), a first-year CS PhD Student at School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence, Arizona State University. I am advised by Prof. Chitta Baral at the COGINT Lab and also mentored by Prof. Ben Zhou. Currently, my research focuses on reasoning-aware training approaches inspired by human-interactive learning scenarios. Throughout history, humans have become more intelligent by expanding knowledge and understanding through interaction with one another. Similarly, I believe that training models through human-inspired interactive learning approaches would expand their reasoning capabilities.

Previously, I obtained my Master’s degree in Computer Science at Arizona State University in Summer, 2025. Prior to that, I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University.
